Career
Before relocating to Alberta, Dr. Perveen practised family medicine at Gore Queen Medical Centre and Ray Lawson Medical Centre in Brampton, (Greater Toronto Area GTA, Ontario).
Her international medical career also includes general practice and hospital-based clinical experience in Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as earlier experience in obstetrics and gynaecology in Pakistan.
Her work across different healthcare systems has provided her with a broad clinical perspective and strengthened her clinical judgment, adaptability and ability to care for diverse patient populations.
This international experience has also deepened her understanding of how cultural background, language, family circumstances and access to healthcare can influence a patient’s experience and health outcomes.

In Australia, she mentored general practice registrars and supported their preparation for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners fellowship examinations.
Her mentorship included supporting registrars in developing their clinical knowledge, consultation skills, communication, examination preparation and confidence as future general practitioners.
In the United Kingdom, Dr. Perveen served as a tutor and mentor to medical students at Aston University. She supported their development in clinical skills, professional communication and critical thinking.
